Man and his nature

Man and his nature

In today's study, we are only going to highlight the seven things God hates, as mentioned in (Pro 6:16-19). To know the evil of man's nature, we only need to look at the world around us. The world is hiding in the darkness of Satan's lies. It can not live with the truth of the Word. It is dark down here. But this is a reminder that the penalty for sin is death. It is a life without God for eternity.

The wicked, out there in the darkness of the world, be afraid. Very afraid. The wrath of God is coming (Ps 7:11; 21:8,9; Is 3:8;13:9; Nah 1:2,3; Rom 1:18; 2:8; Eph 5:6; Col 3:6).

What God hates (Pro 6:16-19)

Pride - changed Lucifer to Satan (Isa 14:12-14), made Eve disobey God (Gen 3:1-6). How many times do we keep quiet to protect ourselves?

Lying - for God is a God of truth (Deut 32:4; John 14:6; 1 John 5:6). If it is not the full truth, it is a lie.

Murder - pollutes the land (Num 35:30-34), murderers have their part in the lake of fire (Rev. 21:8; 22:15). Can a word kill?

Wicket plans - misuse of imagination (Gen 6:5; 8:21; Jer 23:17; Rom 1:21.). Guard your hearts against evil (Prov. 4:23) as that is the origin of life.

Feet running to evil – busy-bodies (2 Thess 3:11; 1 Tim 5:13), tempting others into sin (Prov 5:5; 7:11), disobeying God’s laws (1:10–16). But God’s people have clean feet (John 13:1–17; 1 John 1:9), beautiful feet (Rom 10:14–15), prepared feet (Eph 6:15), obedient feet (Gen 13:17; Josh 1:3; 3:15).

False witness - Lie officially - God’s people witnesses in truth (Acts 1:8).

Sowing discord – Unity among believers (Ps 133:1). Sowing seeds of destruction: pride (Prov 13:10; 3 John 1:9–10), gossip (Prov 16:28; 17:9; 18:8; 26:20), anger and hatred (Prov 10:12; 15:18; 29:22), a quarrelsome spirit (Prov 17:14,

19; 25:8; 26:21), foolish questions (1 Tim 6:3–5; 2 Tim 2:14, 23).

But, our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ is the Truth. He is the Word. He is the Light that penetrates the darkness to seek and save the lost (Luk 19:10).

Almighty God. We want to praise You, bring glory to your name. We want to laud You, because You love us. Lord, we need You to guide us in this dark world. Make us runners and slaves worthy of Your kingdom. Thank You Lord, that You paid the penalty for sin on our behalf. Amen.
